As we have seen over the past year, Shin Bucks are a common occurrence in young horses, our 3 year old filly Nation’s Posse had them about 2 months ago, was treated for them and is now back in training jogging and galloping a mile and half a day.
Fire Marshall Bill came out of his breeze last week with bucked shins. They have cooled out over the past week and he’ll be treated for them on Wednesday or Thursday this week. He’ll miss a few weeks of training but will be back jogging shortly thereafter.
Trainer Tim Glyshaw said Bill won’t be able to race in Florida this meet but expects he’ll be ready to start early at Churchill Downs. Tim also said based on what he’s seen in training, Bill is going to be a nice horse that we should have a lot of fun with.
Speaking of Nation’s Posse here is a photo of her below coming off the training track at La Croix Training Center this week. Just like her sister Rosy May she is training really well and looks great.
